Tsoyaa's Beliefs

Our Mission

To assist at-risk juveniles make choices for change through accountability, responsibility and self-discovery.  As a non-profit organization we focus on keeping "at risk" teenagers from incarceration.

Our Purpose

Is to interrupt the cycle of unacceptable behavior patterns, thereby rehabilitating juveniles and young men (and their wives/girlfriends), ages 13 to 30, who have criminal records and are high school dropouts.

Our Goals

To provide guidance towards an understanding that the road to recovery is achieved by taking one day and one step at a time.

Our Truths

TSOYAA continues to provide services that will aid in improving the health, education, training, housing, and general welfare of low-to-moderate-income residents in our communities specifically that of the young and adults re-entering society.

Our faith and beliefs allows us to offer individuals an alternative and provide  the same services as other citizens to become viable contributors to our society.

Reaching out to all people

Our Promise

1. Strive for the improvement of community relations, promote peace and good will among citizens, and encourage respect for human rights and the dignity of others.

2. Work with other community groups to advance the general welfare of all people;

3. Undertake programs of research, education and dissemination of information to the public; and

4. Advocate for low-income persons as well as former inmates returning to society and their communities.

We are a multi-service non-profit agency, our future endeavor is to provide shelter and transitional living services to homeless, runaway and throw away youth, as well as court-ordered client services.

Our most important mission is to reduce society's reliance on the use of incarceration the poor and minorities as a solution to social problems.  Far too long we the families have seen its negative effects.  Such as:

     >  acclamation into society

     >  under-training = unemployment;

     >  more advanced criminal knowledge;

     >  lack of confidence;

     >  no compassion;

     >  no faith; and,

     >  an inherent distrust of everyone

In summary, all of the aforementioned issues only guarantee re-incarceration.
